Hi, I am
Nouman,
I write code that bridges the gap between machine learning models and cloud infrastructure. Instead of just training models in notebooks, I build the pipelines, containerize the code, and deploy them on AWS using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and SageMaker. I am currently studying Computer Science at COMSATS Islamabad and looking for opportunities to put MLOps to work.

What drives me technically?
Most of what I do sits at the line between machine learning and infrastructure. I train deep learning models (I have fine-tuned YOLOv8 for low-light detection, built RAG pipelines with LLMs) and then I figure out how to ship them. That second part is honestly harder and more interesting to me than the first.
On the infrastructure side, I work with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, SageMaker). I picked up a lot of this through an AWS Cloud Bootcamp at CloudSec Network and KodeKloud's DevOps Mastery certification, both of which were practical enough that I started using the tools on real projects before the courses were even finished.
When a problem needs a full application, I build one. Compakt is a URL shortener I made with React, FastAPI, and Supabase. It generates QR codes, supports password-protected and self-destructing links, and tracks clicks. I am not interested in building things that only work in a notebook.
My Bio
Biography,
a few words
My name is Nouman Zahid. I study Computer Science at COMSATS University Islamabad (Class of 2027), and most of my time goes toward figuring out how to move machine learning models from experiments into production systems. I got into this through classical ML, then deep learning and computer vision, and eventually realized that the deployment and operations side was the part I found most interesting.
In 2025, I did a 3-month AWS Cloud Bootcamp at CloudSec Network (Canada, Remote). It was hands-on work with EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, VPCs, and cloud security. I also completed KodeKloud's DevOps Mastery certification. Both gave me infrastructure skills I immediately started using in my own projects.
When I am not working on ML pipelines, I solve problems on LeetCode and contribute to open-source. The thing I keep coming back to is the full loop: reading a paper, implementing it, deploying it, and watching it run. I am currently looking for internship opportunities in MLOps, AI DevOps, or cloud-focused AI engineering.
